People who say ‘yes’ and do ‘no’? A decision taken democratically which is then not loyally supported by almost half of your team? That the result would have been achieved more quickly if you had also listened to your employees who do not always call the tune? Is this familiar? Then this is the book for you!
'Deep Democracy' was written for people like you, who want to resolve conflicts, make use of differences and then dare to make sustainable decisions. Who think with each other and not for each other. Who fight together for the best possible solution.
Deep Democracy is a way of making decisions in which the wisdom of the minority is included in the majority decision. The Lewis method of Deep Democracy was developed by Myrna Ldwis in the period after apartheid in South African business and is currently applied in more than twenty countries. It offers practical tools and techniques for dealing with extremes. Not from the idea that we have to manipulate and seduce obstructionists to follow the decision without much protest, but from the conviction that the most powerful decisions are taken by combining the diversity of knowledge, skills, experience and emotions present.
